Management at Etobicoke General Hospital is considering privatizing laundry, cleaning and waste management services. Researchers and the union representing workers in those jobs, CUPE-OCHU, warn this could bring worse service and lead to more infections. Hospital management says they are “committed to minimizing any impact to patients and staff.”
