A lifetime of, at best, mediocre heterosexual sex? Even in ancient Greece, Leiana (Jasmine Brough) is having none of it, choosing to abandon her whiny ex-husband Lucian (Kael Buryn) for her best friend Megillus (Jonnie Lombard) and a new life on the island of Lesbos.
Bereft satirist Lucian reaches out to his friend and intellectual superior, Plato (Jewell Bowry), to wax philosophical about sex outside of straight marriages. Meanwhile on Lesbos, Leiana and Megillus are building a joyful and loving life together.
Sydney Scott and Jules Spizzirri’s script is hilarious and insightful. As a counterpart to the rigid roles of husband and wife, they incorporate the experiences of queer love and joy shared by over 30 artists.
Alyssa Featherstone’s direction complements the easy chemistry of the ensemble, allowing them to glide smoothly between comedy and vulnerability.
