It’s easy to be eclipsed by your father’s shadow when you walk in his footsteps. Just ask Emilio. After saving the sparkliest species of chameleons, Emilio Sr. created a world-famous traveling chameleon show that Emilio Jr. and his shiny best friend, Juan, have been trying to hold together many years later.
Adam Francis Proulx returns to this festival, bringing his award-winning puppet show with him. The story about finding your unique sparkle is charming and family-friendly. The songs are catchy (the first tune is living rent-free in my brain), the jokes are clever, and the puppets are adorable.
Proulx is perfection in his dilapidated circus master garb and vaudevillian razzle-dazzle. Emilio and his million chameleons are a must-see for kiddos of all ages.
This is a pick of the Fringe, as far as I’m concerned.
